Those who have previously found crafting and gathering to be therapeutic will likely enjoy this casual, personal experience within FFXIV.ĭuring last month’s Live Letter, we gained some new insight on what’s to come in our Eorzean island paradise. No prior experience in crafting or gathering will be necessary to access the island, and each player’s progression will be unique. As I’ve gushed about in previous posts mentioning Island Sanctuary, I’m a huge fan of relaxing and comfy farming simulators, so I’m excited for this patch release! Which is your favorite out of the Endwalker zones?Īre you a fan of Stardew Valley? What about Harvest Moon? I have some great news - Patch 6.2 is almost here, which means the highly anticipated Island Sanctuary is soon arriving in Final Fantasy XIV!įirst teased in Endwalker’s announcement showcase last year, Island Sanctuary is a relaxing game mode created to allow FFXIV adventurers to learn the benefits of “slow living.” The upcoming content will allow players to raise animals, grow crops, and let their minions roam the land. I can't get enough of how great the skies look in each of the zones, and I'm currently working on the 6.0 Sightseeing Log, which means I'll have even more breathtaking screenshots to share soon! The developers did an amazing job with all of the new environments in 6.0. The last area players will journey to in Endwalker's story is Ultima Thule, which is my personal favorite out of the new zones! I didn't think the zones could be any more beautiful, but they just kept getting better and better! One of the most breathtaking zones of this expansion has got to be Elpis, a striking area located in Etheirys. The next section of the story took adventurers to the moon, also known as Mare Lamentorum! Although Garlemald was once a bustling area full of activity, it has been reduced to ruin due to civil war caused by the story's major antagonists. Players will next encounter Garlemald, the home of the Garlean Empire. Radz-at-Han is the other endgame hub of the expansion, providing players with a place to trade in their tomes for endgame gear. Inside Thavnair is the city-state of Radz-at-Han, a major place of trade in the region! Next up is Thavnair, a colorful land most known and revered for its advancements in alchemy. One arc will venture to Labyrinthos, while the other will quickly take players to Thavnair.įirst, let's take a look at Labyrinthos, a subterranean environment underneath Old Sharlayan that holds much of the city's wonders and research. Once in Old Sharlayan, players must complete two separate Main Story Questline arcs. Players will be spending a lot of time with this beautiful scenery, as Old Sharlayan serves as one of the two endgame hubs of 6.0! I'll go ahead and start the tour with Old Sharlayan, the first area that players get to experience in the very first quest of the expansion. Please proceed with caution.īecause Endwalker's zones are so beautiful, I decided it'd be fun to gather my favorite screenshots to provide a quick tour of the new sights available in 6.0! This post contains spoilers for Endwalker.
